Venkatakrishnan Sundaravalli is an alumnus of Tamil Nadu Agricultural university Coimbatore and Graduated in the year 1988. She went on to do her Post- Graduate diploma in Sugar Technology from Annamalai University.
After serving as the first Horticultural officer of the newly created flim city with various concept gardens and nurseries including herbal nursery. Joined Centre for Traditional Medicine & Research as Horticultural officer in 2000. Since then she has been instrumental in establishing Home Herbal Gardens, School herbal gardens, Industrial and Institutional gardens.
She has been instrumental in establishing contract farms of medicinal plants with focus on Coleus, Gloriosa, Phyllanthus amarus, Passiflora incarnate etc in large tracts of land enabling supply of Authentic raw material to Phytopharma industries.
Various demonstrative medicinal plant gardens including the one at Annaikatty, Coimbatore was developed with her inputs.
She is also involved in training women workers and tribal in propagation techniques, nursery techniques
She has been a regular contributor in vernacular magazines on health recipes, medicinal plants and has done over 50 TV shows and has done demonstrations in Health Food workshops both in India and Abroad.
She regularly conducts classes on Bakti literature of Srivaishnavism
